Andrew Weil serves as Executive Vice President of Originations at Merchants Capital, where he co-leads the firm’s fifth national debt sales team. With more than 30 years of experience in multifamily and affordable housing finance, Andrew brings deep expertise in agency lending, private placement bonds, and tax credit equity to Merchants’ growing national debt and equity platform.
Before joining Merchants Capital, Andrew held senior leadership roles at Grandbridge, a subsidiary of Truist Bank, where he spent 12 years as Managing Director and co-head of the affordable housing agency lending platform. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly 17 years at Centerline Capital Group (formerly Related Capital Company) as Senior Managing Director, helping to build and guide one of the industry’s most successful affordable housing tax credit and debt platforms. He began his career in property management, giving him a strong operational foundation that continues to inform his approach to financing.
Andrew is widely recognized for his strategic insight, client-centric mindset, and ability to deliver customized financing solutions across both agency and balance sheet offerings. His leadership continues to shape the future of affordable housing finance and strengthens Merchants Capital’s position as a top-tier provider in the industry.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
